Active Safety in Lithium Batteries

13. May 2026
News Product information Company

In industrial settings, battery safety can’t be just a requirement, it must be engineered into every step, from the earliest design choices.

This is the reason why we collaborate with Flash Battery, our italian lithium battery technology partner, who has developed advanced systems that raise the standard for operational security.

Gas sensors detect volatile compounds forming inside a battery pack well before temperature spikes occur. This early-warning system has been shown to detect anomalies up to 12 minutes ahead of traditional thermal sensors, giving the Flash Battery’s patented Battery Management System (BMS) critical time to react and prevent escalation. For industrial applications that require constant uptime, this can make all the difference.

When an incident does begin to evolve into a fire, Flash Battery’s aerosol extinguishing system provides the second line of defense. Compact and non-pressurized, it disperses ultra-fine particles to stop combustion within seconds, without harming wiring or electronics, ideal for battery compartments and confined spaces.

Together, these technologies create a multi-layered safety platform, delivering early detection, rapid intervention, and reliable containment. For OEMs and operators, this means industrial vehicles and equipment can meet high safety standards even in the most demanding environments.
