After a two-year waiting period since its filing at the end of 2019, the Italian Ministry of Economic Development has officially granted our partner Flash Battery an industrial invention patent on the architecture of Flash Battery's proprietary BMS, Flash Balancing System, the combined active and passive high-power balancing system implemented on all Flash Battery lithium batteries, which is able to keep the cells equalized and efficient throughout the battery's lifetime (more than 4,000 cycles), ensuring efficiency and high performance over time.

For a young and fast-growing company working in a fermenting industry such as electrification, owning a patent allows it to protect its intellectual property, and also increases its industrial value and this means a great competitive advantage.

From the outset, the main purpose of the patent application was to put down on paper the entrepreneurial idea that just over a decade ago led Flash Battery's two founding partners to create a unique lithium battery management system, bringing value to the entire industry segment and making a major contribution to the company's establishment in an electrification market that was still immature and untrodden at that time.
