With its Energy Storage Systems, Stercom has launched modular high-performance energy storage systems on the market that combine high power density with exceptional service life on the basis of ultracaps or LTO batteries. Stercom OBC V2X Onboard Charger

The OBC V2X from Stercom Power Solutions is a revolutionary onboard charger that enables electric vehicles not only to charge, but also to act as an energy source. This innovative bidirectional charger (V2X) connects vehicles to the power grid, buildings and other devices and vehicles. Thanks to its outstanding performance and versatility, it sets new standards in e-mobility.

 

V2X technology - the vehicle as an energy source

The V2X (Vehicle-to-Everything) technology of the OBC V2X turns the electric vehicle into an active participant in the energy industry. In addition to classic charging, the OBC V2X offers the option of feeding energy from the vehicle back into the grid or other applications. This opens up a wide range of possible applications and benefits:

  • V2G (Vehicle-to-Grid): Surplus energy is fed back into the public power grid, which contributes to grid stability.
  • V2H (Vehicle-to-Home): The vehicle supplies private households with electricity and supports self-consumption, particularly with photovoltaic systems.
  • V2L (Vehicle-to-Load): External devices and loads can be supplied with power directly via the vehicle, ideal for use on the road or during power outages.
  • V2V (Vehicle-to-Vehicle): Energy can be exchanged between vehicles to charge other vehicles or trailers.
