EU Projekt OPEVA

The strong belief that creating private-public synergies between research centres, universities and the various industry players is of paramount value in ensuring the technological advancement of the European electrification ecosystem is what prompted @Flash Battery to take part in the Opeva project in January 2023.

The project involves the investment of more than 25 million euros to optimise the energy efficiency of electric vehicles. Together with Flash Battery, OPEVA will see the collaboration of a pool of other 36 partners from 11 European countries covering the entire value chain of electric mobility, who will work side by side with the aim of developing high-tech solutions to accelerate the spread of electric vehicles on the European market.

Flash Battery, in particular, will be contributing to the project through the development of a cell balancing system with ever-increasing predictive capabilities, thanks to the integration of advanced wired and wireless sensors, in order to improve the accuracy of the State of Charge and obtain from the battery ever-increasing indications on its state of health and remaining cell life.
