Balder and Inmotion Technologies are jointly building Sweden's largest inverter factory for commercial vehicles

Manufacturer of power electronic products for electrified commercial vehicles, Inmotion Technologies, is expanding its production facility in Tyresö, South Stockholm.

Property owner Fastighets AB Balder and Inmotion have worked together to optimize the new premises to meet product requirements from February 2022.

With over 30 years of experience working with commercial vehicle electrification, Inmotion is ideally positioned as the electrified vehicle market gathers momentum.

The majority of Scania and Volvo vehicle sales will be fossil fuel free by 2030, they estimate. Both the products and the services are in high demand from customers in the truck industry as electrification progresses.

"For us, being responsive as a property owner and landlord is critical to ensuring our clients thrive and have the opportunity to grow their business," said Martin Ernstson, Balder's Head of Commercial.

The energy-saving features of the 6,000m² complex include solar panels and a geothermal heating system. This innovative factory will enhance supply chain capabilities and unlock new potential for co-innovation.

According to Jan Larsson, CEO of Business Sweden, "The news underscores the global appeal of Sweden's fast-growing ecosystem.

Minister Anna Hallberg explains that the Swedish mobility sector, thanks to excellent skills and technologies and a thriving innovation environment, is helping Europe to pioneer the switch to electric cars.
